- Driver's license and government-issued ID uploaded to your portal for rental eligibility verification.
- Payment card information (processed and stored by our payment provider — Corsa does not store raw card numbers).
- Rental preferences, vehicle selection, and pickup/return dates.
- Communications you send us by email, phone, or contact form.
Information we collect automatically:
- Vehicle telematics data: GPS location, speed, acceleration/braking events, odometer, seatbelt status, and collision-related event data recorded by onboard systems during the Rental Period.
- Website usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration collected via analytics tools.
- Device identifiers and cookies used to maintain your logged-in session.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To verify your identity and eligibility to rent a vehicle.
- To process reservations, payments, security deposits, and post-rental charges.
- To manage your customer account and portal access.
- To communicate with you about your reservation, invoices, and support requests.
- To investigate accidents, damage claims, and policy violations using telematics data.
- To locate and recover a vehicle that has not been returned as agreed.
- To comply with legal obligations, law enforcement requests, and court orders.
- To improve our website, fleet, and services through aggregate analytics.
- To send you service-related emails (e.g., booking confirmations, receipts). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
4. Telematics and GPS Data
Our vehicles are equipped with GPS and telematics systems that record location, speed, and driving behavior during your rental period. This data is used exclusively for safety, vehicle recovery, incident investigation, and maintenance purposes.
Telematics data is retained for 90 days after the end of the Rental Period, then deleted, unless it is needed for an open dispute, insurance claim, or legal proceeding.
We do not sell or share telematics data with third-party advertisers.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers: Payment processors, cloud storage (Supabase), scheduling tools (Cal.com), and email providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
- Insurance and claims: Our insurance carrier and adjusters when processing a damage or liability claim.
- Law enforcement: When required by law, subpoena, or valid court order, or to report an unreturned vehicle.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business assets, with the same privacy protections.
6. Data Retention
- Account information: Retained while your account is active and for 3 years after closure, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Rental records and payment history: 7 years (Florida business records requirements).
- Uploaded documents (driver's license): Deleted within 90 days after the rental is completed and any disputes are resolved.
- Telematics data: 90 days, unless needed for an open claim or legal matter.
- Contact form submissions: 1 year.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage (AES-256), TLS encryption for data in transit, and access controls limiting who within Corsa can access your information. Uploaded documents are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at legal@corsarentalsmiami.com.
8. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information by updating your portal profile or contacting us.
- Delete your account and associated personal data (subject to retention obligations above).
- Withdraw your card-on-file authorization by written notice (see Terms & Conditions, Section 3.4).
- Opt out of any non-essential marketing communications.

9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in to your portal. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent portal login from working.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects when the current version was published.
